On 8-9 April 2020, in the same week Captain Tom embarked on his own remarkable marathon, Errol Kennedy drummed non-stop for 24 hours. He raised almost £7,000, the donations going direct to NHS Charities Together.
In lockdown with his wife Bev Sage, they believed they could raise more. The idea of a global marathon was born. In this drumming first, a team of amazing musicians unites to celebrate the nation’s frontline heroes... world-class drummers who’ve beaten drums for Craig David, Stevie Wonder, Imagination, Simple Minds, The Feeling, Lesley Garrett, Pete Murphy, Jesus & Mary Chain, Ride, and more.
Participating drummers include Errol Kennedy, Paul Stewart, Jose Joyette, Vince Dunn, Jack Heslewood, Terl Bryant, Vincenzo Infusino, Meg Learmonth, Mel Gaynor, Loz Colbert, Mairi Newberry, and Tim Reynolds.

Errol Kennedy is a globally renowned drummer/ producer, British entertainer, and original member of the funk/soul band Imagination.
Errol’s success continued as a musician and a producer.
He will be playing primarily songs released by Imagination.

My name is Jack Heslewood and I’m the reigning Mr World. I’m a rocket scientist and aerospace engineering graduate from Kingston university, a Stanford University business school graduate, an Ironman triathlete and, last but not least, a lifelong and passionate drummer!
Noam Lederman
Noam Lederman is a highly skilled drummer, composer and author. He has taken part in prominent
music festivals including Womad, Glastonbury and Reading, as well as appearing on MTV.
Noam is currently pursuing a PhD in drumming and artificial intelligence.
Gary O'Toole
Gary is a unique, exciting and dynamic drummer. Known for his amazing energy and charisma both on stage and in the recording studio , he’s been professional since the age of 18 and is truly inspirational.
He’s also drummed for Chrissie Hynde, Nicole Kidman and more.
Jon Harris
Jon Harris is a highly regarded London-based session player and tutor with many years of experience in the industry.
His credits include Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Oddyssy Eban Brown, and has supported Ed Sheeran and the Rolling stones on tour.
He runs his own music agency TH Entertainment
Meg Learmonth
Hi, I’m Meg, I'm 19 and the youngest drummer taking part in the Drumathon and before the
lockdown, I was on a European tour with artist Mura Masa.
I'm choosing to drum for the NHS because they are the true heroes of our nation. Drumming for 12 hours is nothing to their workload.
Jose Joyette
Jose has performed with legends such as: Michael Jackson, Stevie
Wonder, George Harrison, Eric Clapton. Started touring at the age of 13 with Sister Sledge, Arrow and Odyssey which kick-started a long career.
Loz Colbert
Loz plays drums for Ride and Gaz Coombes and this is the music he’ll be playing for you.
In previous lives he’s played for St Etienne and The Jesus And Mary Chain etc.
Loz will play a mixture of RIDE and Gaz Coombes tracks and a couple of surprise tracks
Mel Gaynor is best known as the long time drummer for the rock band Simple Minds.
Mel began drumming at the age of 11 and had his first professional engagement at the age of 14. In
addition to drumming, he is active as a songwriter and record producer.

Jon first got his hands on some wooden spoons at the age of 8 years old and hasn’t stopped tapping on things since then!
Jon has now been playing professionally for 24 years and currently touring the world with the band Killer Queen, selling out arenas, theatres and iconic bucket list venues such as Red Rocks Denver USA and ACL Austin Texas

Tom is a freelance musician based in London, currently part of Steve Harley’s Acoustic band and a member of top Saxophonist Tim Whitehead’s quartet.
Other artists Tom has played for include; Grace Jones, Simple
Minds, Ben Earle (The Shires) and
Christian Garrick.
Vince Dunn
Playing with: The Vince Dunn Orchestra, Madonna, Pharrell Williams, Kylie Minogue, the award-winning jazz guitarist Jim Mullen, Derrick McKenzie, etc.
Vince will showcase an eclectic mix of songs chosen especially for our amazing NHS and frontline workers.
Terl Bryant
Terl is a drummer, producer and teacher who speaks and performs at events worldwide. Drummer for ten years for singer/songwriter Graham Kendrick, he is also an artist producing his own music and drum tracks for clients at his studio in Sussex.
Alexis Nunez
Alexis Nunez, a London native, started playing drums when he was 12 years old and later took
drum lessons with Tom Meadow (drummer for Kylie Minogue, Duffy Jackson, and others)
Alexis has been with The Kooks since 2012. and he brings a funky flavour to the band.
Paul Stewart
Paul Stewart is best known as the drummer for The Feeling.
Since signing to Island Records in 2006, the band has released 5 studio albums, the second of which, Join With Us, went straight in at No.1.
They have sold over 1.5 million records.
Ali Brown
Playing drums as a much loved hobby, he holds multiple drumming marathon records.
Ali loves the NHS due to his partner suffering from Cancer requiring treatment over the last 2 years.
He can’t wait to get started to do his part for #DrumForNHS relay, playing 12 hours non-stop music
Mairi Newberry
Having played the local function scene from the age of 12, Mairi has been drumming professionally
for 37 years. She has toured Europe and the UK with many independent artists, has played in
various theatre productions, has studied with Kimberly Thompson and Pete Ray Biggin
Tim Reynolds
T’m Tim Reynolds, a London based drummer & producer and I’ve been working in the music
industry for 15 years.
I’m excited to be a part of Drumathon 2020 because my
mum and sister are NHS workers so this is an issue very close to my heart.
Romi & The Percussionists
The three percussionists consist of.. Pav, Romi and Kami. Combined they have over 50 years of experience, playing with artists such as Basement Jaxx, Radio one Live, Pete Tong, BBC introducing, Universal Tree, and Roger Sanchez.
They have all come together for this 12 hour stream for the NHS
