On 8-9 April 2020, in the same week Captain Tom embarked on his own remarkable marathon, Errol Kennedy drummed non-stop for 24 hours. He raised almost £7,000, the donations going direct to NHS Charities Together.
In lockdown with his wife Bev Sage, they believed they could raise more. The idea of a global marathon was born. In this drumming first, a team of amazing musicians unites to celebrate the nation’s frontline heroes... world-class drummers who’ve beaten drums for Craig David, Stevie Wonder, Imagination, Simple Minds, The Feeling, Lesley Garrett, Pete Murphy, Jesus & Mary Chain, Ride, and more.
Participating drummers include Errol Kennedy, Paul Stewart, Jose Joyette, Vince Dunn, Jack Heslewood, Terl Bryant, Vincenzo Infusino, Meg Learmonth, Mel Gaynor, Loz Colbert, Mairi Newberry, and Tim Reynolds.
